2019 Release Wave 2 Plan and May Updates for Microsoft Flow

Today we are announcing the availability of the 2019 Release Wave 2 Plan, which covers the main investments coming in October. Additionally, in the past month we’ve made a number of improvements to Flow: build your flows inside of Visio, there are now triggers available in the Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations connector, and there are many improvements in Approvals. Finally, there were thirteen new connectors in May!

Office 365 Outlook connector: Important upcoming changes

We are making a few important updates to the connector as we migrate the underlying API to use the Microsoft Graph API instead of Outlook REST API. These updates will unfortunately force us to deprecate most of the current set of actions and triggers. We will be rolling out these changes over the next couple of months and we strongly encourage all users to start adopting the new actions and triggers.

Local User Group Highlight: Licensing, AI Builder and a chance to win FREE Power Platform World Tour tickets at this month’s Montreal User Group.

The Montreal Flow and PowerApps User Group works each month to provide discussions on Microsoft Flow and PowerApps and in-person support for the members in region. Led by industry expert and known community member Luc Labelle, each meeting begins with an overview of what’s new for these applications and one to two more in-depth sessions on more specific topics.

This month’s agenda really heats things up with a round-table conversation around the changes announced on the model of PowerApps license and Microsoft Flow and ends with a demo of the new AI Builder.

July Updates for Microsoft Flow

There are several key improvements releasing this week. First, there are a number of new SharePoint connector actions, including working with Doc Sets, permissions, and creating Folders. Second, Flow now supports version control with Azure DevOps. Third, guest users can participate in approval processes and create flows. There are a couple authoring and solution improvements, and we also released four new connectors.
